مطالعه اثر توزیع فاز سخت بر رسانندگی الکتریکی کامپوزیت پلیمر- نانو‌لوله کربن به عنوان دزیمتر پرتو با بهره‌گیری از روش مونت‌کارلو

The object of this research is the investigation of carbon nanotube (CNT) distribution effect on electrical conductivity of polymer-CNT composite as dosimetry response of this system. Thus, electrical conductivity of this composite was simulated for aligned, homogenous, and agglomerated distributions in 2D, and 3D situations. The results of simulation were compared and validated by experimental...

No 1129 February 2012 Agglomeration , Trade and Selection

This paper studies how firm heterogeneity in terms of productivity affects the balance between agglomeration and dispersion forces in the presence of pecuniary externalities through a selection model of monopolistic competition with variable mark-ups. It shows that firm heterogeneity matters. However, whether it shifts the balance from agglomeration to dispersion or the other way round depends ...

Role of Graphene Sheet Agglomeration in the Macroscopic Elastic Properties of Metal Matrix Nanocomposites

The purpose of the present work is to analyze the modulus of elasticity of graphene (Gr) sheet-reinforced metal matrix nanocomposites (MMNCs) using a homogenized model based on the Mori-Tanaka micromechanics approach. The main focus is to investigate the effects of Gr sheet agglomeration on the MMNC macroscopic elastic modulus. Also, the role of aligning Gr sheets in the mechanical performance ...

Alginic Acid-Aided Dispersion of Carbon Nanotubes, Graphene, and Boron Nitride Nanomaterials for Microbial Toxicity Testing

Robust evaluation of potential environmental and health risks of carbonaceous and boron nitride nanomaterials (NMs) is imperative. However, significant agglomeration of pristine carbonaceous and boron nitride NMs due to strong van der Waals forces renders them not suitable for direct toxicity testing in aqueous media. Here, the natural polysaccharide alginic acid (AA) was used as a nontoxic, en...

Reasons and remedies for the agglomeration of multilayered graphene and carbon nanotubes in polymers

One of the main issues in the production of polymer nanocomposites is the dispersion state of filler as multilayered graphene (MLG) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) tend to agglomerate due to van der Waals forces. The agglomeration can be avoided by using organic solvents, selecting suitable dispersion and production methods, and functionalizing the fillers. Another proposed method is the use of hyb...
